How to Brew a Chai for One
Chai is the lifeblood of India. Served from dawn until way past dusk, this beverage is everywhere you look. It’s in little street cafes, sold from chaiwallahs at every bus station, train station and street corner, brewing in every home. Follow the steps below to recreate an authentic chai experience.
Step 1: Add 3 teaspoons of your chai
Step 2: Pour 100 ml of boiled water into your teapot, steep for 3 minutes
Step 3: Heat your choice of milk to high heat and add to teapot. Steep for a further minute. Add honey, fresh ginger if you want a strong and sweet brew.
Step 4: Pour into your cup through a strainer
